Hair Today...

Jumper: Primark

I was bored with my hairstyle and, after looking at countless tutorials on Youtube and pictures of Alexa Chung and co, I decided to take the plunge and ombre my hair. I love the effortless boho style and think I did an OK job. I think it brightens my face (with the help of my new high beam highlighter, thanks mum!) giving me a healthy glow. I've always had brown or dark red hair and this gave me the opportunity to experiment with the lighter scale of the specturum without going full on Barbie.

The process was really easy, videos said to use tinfoil and wrap small sections, but in all honesty I found this was just too much hassle and added up removing most of the colour. In the end I just place an old towel around my shoulders and covered the bottom half of my hair in the bleach, making sure to apply more to the ends. I was worried that there would be an obvious line from brown to blonde, but as I was just using my hands I could blend the two colours well.

Loreal Paris Perfect Blonde Creme

If anyone s considering ombre hair then i think you should defiantly go for it, it isn't a complicated process and creates an effortlessly cool look. my hair looks a bit gingery in these photos, due to the bad lighting, hopefully in future posts the blonde will be more evident

All The Leaves Are Brown

Coat: Dorthy Perkins
Jumper: Topshop
Jeans: New Look
Brogues: Primark

Can't believe its December tomorrow, this year has gone so fast!

Had the day off because of the teachers strike and have spent the entire time stuck in doors doing coursework and my personal statement whilst my sister goes to the cinema, alright for some eh?!

The brogues are my fourth pair from Primark - i bought 3 last week (green, red & orange) and these the other day. I think they're really good quality and at £9.90 great value.

I've wanted a pair of colored jeans for a while now and finally got a pair from New Look - I'm thinking about getting a green and burgundy pair as well - they were really cheap (£16 compared to Topshop's £32) but they're a tad too short.

have you bought anything recently, let me know!

Daisy, Daisy

Dress & Creepers: Topshop
Jumper: Primark
Necklace: Lazy Oaf

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, A-levels, performances, parties and birthdays have really taken it out of me! Speaking of birthdays it's my 18th the day after tomorrow - defiantly starting to feel old, my hip actually went yesterday!

I really like this outfit, but I don't think it photographs to well (i don't think the wind helped, my jumper kept blowing up and my peter pan collar went everywhere)

The jumpers perfect for throwing over my summer clothes and so cheap, £6 I think, although the holes can make it chilly.

I'm in love with the necklace, its actually my sisters - I did have a black version but it snapped, boo! - Think I'll steal it off her a bit more often

I actually had a dress more or less identical to this one when I was about 5, and i must admit i feel really young when i wear it, still cant believe I'm nearly 18!

Hope you have a great week, I know I will  :)

1 Topshop, 2 River Island, 3 Urban Outfitters, 4 Your Eyes Lie, 5 Asos, 6 Your Eyes Lie

1 I love all things Americana so this top grabbed me straight away - it reminds me of an old vintage poster or postcard?!

2 I adore patterns and colour (as you've all probably guessed!) I already own way too many bottoms but I can just admire these, for now

3 Another pair of brogues! yes I'm addicted, I really like the contrasting prints on this one and its not too bold so would go with most things

4 I love the print on this crop, although its not such a great idea for winter!

5 Although there very impracticable i adore big statement armour rings

6 Another top from your eyes lie, I really like space/galaxy prints and think the print on this is incredibly beautiful and bold

Have you seen anything on the high street or on the internet? let me know!

1 Missguided, 2 Topshop, 3 Urban Outfitters, 4 Office, 5 River Island, 6 Rokit

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of postings recently, but the A2 coursework as well as AS re-sits and performances for drama have taken up practically all of my free time. I've also been stuck in a fashion rut at the moment, where i feel like i'm wearing the same outfits all the time and dressing up for college has turned into a kind of chore but now i feel back on top of my fashion game after scouring the internet for my fashion finds. I love the Autumn but only own a few jumpers, and would love to invest in the granny cardigan, flower kimono and tribal jumper (1,5,6) although i maybe saving a while for the first! Have you spotted anything online or in the shops recently? Let me know

Zalando Giveaway!

As you know I love finding new or overseas brands as it means you wont find 50 odd people wearing the exact same thing down the high street or at college (one of the main reasons I customised my River Island top here) I recently discovered that Zalando , a really cool online German fashion company I’ve had my eye on for a while now, has now set up an English website, Yay,! No more wishful lusting or need to buy a plane ticket to Germany as I can actually buy the stuff I’ve been wanting . The brand is really cool as they mix designer with there own designs, I absolutely adore these shoes especially as they actually go up to my size, unlike most high street brands (having big feet is soo annoying!) I think they look a lot like the office ones I posted here. I also really like these Jeffery Campbell shoes, I dont think I've actually seen that clog style before and I think it would go with everything. Anyway Zalando has got in touch with me and they are offering a £20 voucher to spend across there website to one of my lovely fashionable readers. To enter you must be following woodenheartbeat and leave a comment on this post so I know that you’re interested! Entries will close Sunday 11th Good luck!

1 River Island, 2 Office, 3 Topshop, 4 Warehouse, 5 River Island, 6 H&M

Hello my lovely readers/followers! I've really missed blogging whilst i was on holiday, hope you've all had a fantastic week. I had a great time in somerset (despite the minor car crash!) I will upload photos from my holiday as soon as I'm able, the usb has lost most of the photos and I'm trying to recover as many as i can. as for now im fretting over what to weae for the new college year

1. It seems I can never post a 'what I want Wednesday' without including at least one pair of shorts! I love the tassels on these though and will keep the summer/festival vibe going throughout my dull lessons

2. I love the mix of brougue and loafer in these shoes, a kind of a 2 for 1 shoewise

3. Another satchel, this is alot more practicle then my others though so should hold all of my bulging school work, the patterns really cute/vintage too

4. I need more simple, capsual clothes. I love plain colored tops and would wear this under a green or grey knited jumper on winter days

5. I always put my hair in a top knot or low bun and this alice in wonderland esq band will add more fun to my usual hair routine

6. I've tried this dress on so many times and really regret not getting it, it does come up rather short and is a tad tight in the bust area though - i may have to try it on again and decide later!

I dont know if there will be wi-fi where I'm staying so I took pictures of some of the stuff im taking with me, hopefully I will be able to do a couple of outfit posts or a week in pictures though!

2. Im in love with creepers and leopard print at the moment so these shoes are just a dream, who knows they may replace my trusted pink brouges.

3. Another wednesday another ring! I love big stones and tribal jewlary so this is perfect for me.

4. This is a have rather then want as i subcomed and bought them yesterday, I found one pair in the sale at Bentalls, it was fate.

5. I really love this top! hopefully Monki will open a shop in England as I dont think they do international deliveries.

We Are Family

Jumper: Zara
Peter Pan Shirt: River Island
Shorts: Topshop
Brogues: Office

Continuing from the theme in the last post I wore my school girl jumper, shirt and shoes to visit my family, I hardly get to see my aunt and cousins as they live over four hours away so it was really good catching up with everyone including the new addition to the family Benjamin!

He's only 7 weeks old and he has the chubbiest cheeks I've ever seen on a baby! hope you've all had a brilliant weekend

1 River Island, 2 Office, 3 Asos, 4 River Island, 5 Topshop, 6 Topshop

This week I'm embracing my inner (and outer) geek

1. I only have one watch at the moment, its a large plastic purple one from argos that hangs of my wrist which makes me look like a very crap rapper, needless to say I think it's time for an upgrade

2. I love brogues and I think the double buckles on these look amazing

3. I already own 4 satchels, but surley theres room in my ever growing collection for this one?

4. I know its august and if I were to wear this outside I would proberbly melt, but it is so pretty, roll on autumn!

5. I dont own any coloured jeans so I really want to try these out

6. I love this top! it's just really fun. I adore the patterns on maps and globes, even though im terrible at geography!

Is there anything in the shops you've got your eye on or bought recently?
